As a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Personal Trainer, I’ve spent countless hours in classrooms, exam rooms, and gyms learning and understanding how the body works. But I’ve learned just as much about the body’s resilience one mile at a time on the road. Between managing my career and raising two busy teenage athletes (and a very needy French Bulldog), I am also on a mission to run a race in all 50 states. However, like many

women in midlife, I have recently found myself navigating the shift of perimenopause. Though generally defined as a hormonal transition, for runners perimenopause can also be a total recalibration of how we run, recover, and show up. But neither hormonal changes nor the demands of daily life—like balancing travel sports schedules and a career—should require putting health or personal goals on the back burner.
As we age and notice a decline in our performance, women are often told to “just do less”—but we can actually do better. I started this website to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and the grit of daily life. Whether you’re training for a PR while battling hot flashes, trying to outrun brain fog, or just struggling to find thirty minutes of peace on the trail, I am here to help. My mission is to use my professional expertise and my personal miles on the road to prove that perimenopause is not an expiration date. Entering midlife is not your signal to fade away; with the right adjustments and practical strategies, these years can truly be your prime.
